Gujarat's Energy Team Sees Clean Power at Work
Visit Report · Chennai · 30 October 2026
A delegation from the Government of Gujarat's energy sector watched the R-Pinakin HPFC generate live power to load, saw it run our office and manufacturing floor, and was introduced to the R-Rudra as a proposed clean power solution for the Shri Somnath Temple.

The Delegation: Policy, Projects, Procurement, and Generation in One Room
1. | Shri Ashish Vala, JS, EPD |
2. | Shri Harshil Ranpariya, US, EPD |
3. | Shri Gaurav Omar, EE EPD/CPO GPCL |
4. | Shri B B Patel, EE, GUVNL |
5. | Shri J H Parmar, DE, GSECL |
R-Pinakin HPFC: Live Power to Load
The R-Pinakin HPFC was cold-started and taken straight onto live load in front of the delegation. A refrigerator and lighting ran directly from the unit while the team walked the officials through how it works.

The R-Pinakin generates hydrogen inside the cell and converts it to electricity within about a second. Nothing is burned and no hydrogen is stored on site, so it needs no hydrogen storage or hazardous-area zoning. Its fuel is made through an Entity 1 process, not imported.
Think of it as a generator with the engine taken out: the electrochemistry does the work directly, so power is clean at the point of use.
At Working Scale: Powering a Working Facility

Beyond the bench demonstration, the R-Pinakin powered Entity 2's own office and manufacturing space during the visit. The delegation walked the floor while it ran: workstations, lighting and the assembly area, on R-Pinakin power.
The delegation also saw two systems in continuous operation on the day:
IN OPERATION | IN OPERATION |
50 kWh continuous | 0.6 MWh continuous |
This is the point that matters for a utility: not a lab result, but a working building on clean power. R-Pinakin units are already deployed with users in pharma, steel, AI data centres and automotive. Each needs about 150 sq ft per MW of footprint.
R-Rudra: Introducing R-Rudra for Shri Somnath Temple

The team introduced the R-Rudra, Entity 2's thermally adaptive electrochemical power reactor, as a proposed clean power solution for the Shri Somnath Temple in Gujarat. R-Rudra circulates a molten-salt electrolyte through a closed loop and generates electricity electrochemically, with no combustion. It is built for continuous, high-current duty.
For a site of Somnath's significance and footfall, the case is steady, clean and quiet power on the premises, without diesel sets or smoke.
Power Pricing: Pricing and Where It Fits
The discussion covered the power price per unit delivered for both platforms.
Platform | Technology | Power price per unit delivered |
R-Rudra | Thermally adaptive electrochemical power reactor (molten-salt, no combustion) | Rs one per unit |
R-Pinakin HPFC | Hydrogen power fuel cell (no burning, no hydrogen stored on site) | Rs 3 per unit |
The State's representatives commented that this pricing is apt for three loads in particular:
![]() Data centres | ![]() Diamond industry | ![]() EV charging |
All three share the same load profile: high, continuous demand that cannot afford interruption. A data centre runs around the clock, diamond cutting and polishing units run precision machinery on long shifts, and EV charging hubs draw heavy current in peaks. Power generated on site, sold at a fixed price per unit and free of combustion, matches that profile directly.
Next Steps: Continuing the Conversation
Entity 2 thanks the Gujarat delegation for their time and engagement. We look forward to continuing the discussion with the Energy & Petrochemicals Department and the state power utilities on clean, dispatchable power for Gujarat.
